I purchased 2 of these water recliners for our home in FLA. One yellow and one blue.
We used them only 1 week. After 1 week , the one yellow float was fine, yet the other blue one, I believe had a manufacturing defect. The mesh bottom of the float began to fray by the end of the week after only 4 times in the water . The side seam sewing on this float also came apart.
Yet the second float used in the same manner was fine.

4.0 out of 5 stars Best Float for the Money, May 10, 2011
= Durability:4.0 out of 5 stars  = Fun:4.0 out of 5 stars  = Educational:1.0 out of 5 stars
I have continually purchased these floats season after season. We live in Houston, so our swim season is very long (from May until Sept. or Oct.) and I have found that for us they only last about one season before the mesh on the bottom splits in two. That's to be expected from being either in the pool or in the garage all year long. Up until this year, they have always been made out of a very thick sturdy vinyl material. When I purchased them this year, the outer covering feels like a plastic bag. They have obviously gone to a much cheaper material to make them than they did in the past. We'll see how they hold up this season. Also, they are easy to find at all the pool stores, sporting goods stores like Academy Sports & Outdoors if you live near one and Target for much cheaper than online. I paid $32.99 for mine just this month at Warehouse Pool Supply. Unless you live in a very small town or remote area, it would be cheaper to buy them at the store than order online.

We use these primarily when on our boat (in the water). They inflate and deflate quickly with a small electric float pump. They are perfect for floating around while reading your favorite book and there is a place to put your drink! When you get snoozy, you can just put your book in a ziplock along with a sheet of paper towel to dry your hands on, and scrunch down for a quick nap. The foot rest is well designed and supports quite well. They are just a slight bit more interesting to collapse than the full length "spring" floats but once you get the hang of it they store flat in very little space. Unlike fully inflatable floats that hold you competely out of the water, these allow you to get wet and stay cool while you are relaxing. They also provide a great barrier when the bluegill get hungry.
